Braun & Steidl Architects has received three design awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Akron Chapter. Receiving Honor Awards are the Cleveland State University Student Center, completed in partnership with Gwathmey Siegel & Associates Architects, and the Renaissance Raleigh North Hill Hotel, Raleigh, North Carolina. Receiving an AIA Merit Award is Akron Public Schools Findley Community Learning Center, Akron, Ohio.

The Student Center was also one of five projects to receive an Award of Excellence form the Cleveland Engineering Society (CES).
