The 350-bed Alvin C. Adams Residence Hall at Ohio University and the new generation of Marriott's select service brand SpringHill Suites have received design awards from AIA Akron.
Alvin C. Adams Hall is Ohio University's first new residence hall to be built in 35 years and was designed to serve as a gateway to the South Green area of campus. The new 110,000 sq. ft. structure emphasizes and maintains the campus' Georgian vernacular.
The 120-room SpringHill Suites, located in Waukegan, IL, places an emphasis on providing tranquil space for hotel guests through the use of light and air. This new concept embraces the core relationships of the original brand design with adaptations that influence the design goal.
