Braun & Steidl Architects Akron Office - Barder House

The 1919 Barder Residence was completely restored to its original condition to house our firm’s Akron office. The three-story building was in a state of extensive decay and neglect that included the use of incompatible materials such as vinyl tile, acoustic ceilings and gypsum board partitions. Having been returned to its original context, the restoration culminated with the house’s placement on the National Register of Historic Places.
