Avondale Elementary School is home to 400 PK through 5 students. Built in 1895, Avondale was deemed a historically significant building by the Columbus Landmarks Foundation. The original brick structure was renovated to accommodate 34,000 sf of learning space. The 18,100 sf addition is sympathetic to the original building’s rusticated stone base and gabled roof forms. It contains the administrative offices, gymnasium, student dining, music classroom, stage, and kitchen.
