A master plan was completed for the city's sewer maintenance operations center (SMOC), which included 350,000 sq. ft. of building area on a 30-acre complex. Improvements to the space included the addition of 20,000 sq. ft. of administrative space, 50,000 sq. ft. for vehicle storage, and 10,000 sq. ft. for a surveillance laboratory. Major improvements to the buildings exterior enhanced its presence in the surrounding neighborhood.
