St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church

Guided by Braun & Steidl Architects, exterior renovations completed in 1995 involved repointing deteriorated mortar joints, restoring stone, rebuilding a balustrade and recreating intricate column capitals. The Romanesque style Catholic Church on the National Register of Historic Places brims with German tradition. The work inspired parishioners to restore stained glass windows and the sanctuary interior, repair the slate roof, renovate the community kitchen, and revitalize sanctuary lighting.
