Chas Schreckenberger, FAIA

Principal

Chas was named President of Braun & Steidl Architects in 2002 after having served in a variety of roles with the firm since 1984. He is responsible for the overall operations of the firm and continues to cultivate a professional atmosphere that encourages appropriate architectural solutions, practicality and creativity in designing the built environment. Chas has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and served as the Ohio Valley Regional Director to the National AIA Board of Directors 2010-2012, AIA Ohio President in 2007, AIA Ohio Treasurer in 2005, and AIA Akron President in 1995. In 2018 Chas was elevated to The College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects.

Chas currently serves on the Boards of Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and The Summit County Historical Society, St. Bernard's Finance Council, Chair of the City of Green Historic Preservation Commission, District Chair of the Lakes District of The Boy Scouts of America and Board Member of The Great Trail Council, is an Honorary Trustee of Goodwill Industries of Akron, a former Trustee and President of Weathervane Playhouse and a 3rd Degree Knight and former Trustee of Council 547 of the Knights of Columbus.

Chas resides in Green, Ohio with his wife and has three adult children.
